Fire Safety Solutions NI, based in Belfast, provide a suite of fire safety services to the organisations of Northern Ireland. After a number of successful years in business they wanted to take the business to the next level and achieve certification to ISO 9001 : 2008 and BAFE Scheme SP205 (Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment). To achieve this, Fire Safety Solutions approached New Paradigm Consulting in March 2015 to discuss the development of a single quality management system that would meet the requirements of both ISO 9001 : 2008 and BAFE SP205.
New Paradigm Consulting began the project of developing a streamlined quality management system that would meet the requirements of both standards in April 2015. Upon completion of the quality management system training, the management team were pleasantly surprised at the level of admin required to manage the system and how much of it they were already doing! This gave the organisation the confidence to run with the newly developed system and fully integrate it within the day to day running of the business.
On 12th of October 2015 the company had passed their stage 2 certification audit for BAFE SP205, which is a fantastic result for Dave, Christen and the rest of the team. Now the organisation have plans to achieve ISO 9001 certification in the near future.
